The God who cares
...nxiety on the Lord to take care of us. Our earthly friends, family members, may eventually disappoint us in one way or another, no matter how much they love us. Maybe you have your own struggles and disappointments and no one seems to care about you. But there is someone who cares. God does. He knows your sorrow as no one else does. He understands your misery. God cares for his creation in a similar way that a mother cares for the one she has given birth to. If our Heavenly Father clothes the lilies and feeds the birds; Don’t you think you are of more value than the birds and the lilies? Do you ever wonder if God really cares about you? Oh Yes, He does. In fact, he gave his life for you so that you could join him in Heaven. The Bible says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. The same God who provided wine at the wedding at Cana will meets our needs as well. Consider how Jesus used this truth to reassure His disciples. He had told them they would be hated, persecuted, and rejected. Then He said that not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from the Father's will (Mt. 10:29), nor is one "forgotten before God" (Lk. 12:6). The disciples knew they were more valuable than birds (v.7), so they could be sure God would care for them. He told His listeners to consider the birds of the air and the lilies of the field (Mt. 6:26,28). Everything they need for life is beyond their control.
