... the best we can. First off, and most importantly, schoolwork. Some teachers just love to throw down hours of homework and expect it to be done the following day, along with a huge test or quiz. Not thinking about other classes, or any other aspects of their students lives. To ever teacher, their class is the most important and should be put first. Once you hit gr11 and gr12 classes in school become extremely difficult and on a semester school system it goes by very quickly. Missing classes is obviously not a good idea, but if you can’t help but miss a class, and then you are not allowed to make up a test that you missed, what can you do? If schools and teachers were a little more lenient, I think the teachers would connect with their students a little more, therefore students would probably learn more, and both parties would have a little bit more respect. Secondly, one thing that can really bring you down is not keeping up with your friends and family. Even though they may seem to be the least important at this point, they’re the most important people to you at this age. If you start to slip their always there to keep you up, if you start to become so involved with schoolwork and being the best student you can be, it becomes difficult to be close with your friends and keep close ties with family as well. The amount of drama this can create is remarkable; something teens just can’t get enough of. In high school everyone envies the preppy popular straight A student, but those are the people that are probably the most stressed out of everyone in the whole school. Without your friends and family, who do u share your success with? Who can you relax and take a break with? Your books? Lastly and probably the hardest aspect to juggle along with school and friends, are part time jobs and extracurricular activities. Every teen loves their sports. Whether its soccer, baseball, dance, or gymnastics! Usually the first thing parents chose to use as a punishment is taking away those things.
