Cattails, sawgrasses, sedges, water lilies, silverweeds, yarrows, arrowheads, pitcher plants, bulrushes, and sundews are only some of these. Both pitcher plants and sundews have the unique ability of capturing bugs. The sticky leaves of the sundew trap insects when they land on them. Other insects might just want a drink, but they end up drowning in water gathered in the pitcher plant’s vase-shaped flowers (do I hear a funeral march?).
