Throughout the preliminary stages, the implementation, and the functioning of the 5S, communication is a key factor, along with awareness, and discipline dedication. The workers are the engine of this system, and they must have the character imposed by each element. Every implementation step should be at 5S standards: Sorted, Simplified, Clean, Standard, and Maintained. There is no timeline for the process, but there must never be a pause in its development. People and the Area must be applied to the 5S. As for the whole program, the start up must be organized in the 5S mentality. As a first step, the planning needs to sort all the information needed to develop the numeric solutions. The system must be lead and maintained by group leaders, and supported by supervisors, and managers. The leaders guide the team into working together by fulfilling some direct responsibilities. Also, the team must work in standard ways in order for the system not to get disrupted. The most important factor into implementing the 5S, is the quality, and depth of each completion stage. All teams, in all shifts must inter-communicate to keep the pace and standardization throughout the floor.
