Humility
...t perfect, and never will be, we will never achieve what he has. Jesus gives us something to strive for, something to look forward to, instead of being afraid of what is to come. Having Jesus in your life lets you know that you will be in heaven one day for all eternity with God. Thinking like Socrates would be like a gift from heaven. He had a mind like no other. He doesn’t even brag about it. Unlike Franklin, he doesn’t go around proclaiming how good he is, or how everyone likes him. To him being popular or being recognized doesn’t matter. He just goes about his regular thinking of the world. In a way his thinking wasn’t normal. If I could have a brain like him I wouldn’t be here writing this essay. He had such genius that he created a whole new way to think outside of the norm. The definition of humility is the condition of being humble. Franklin was everything but humble. He needed to take his own advice and have a nice slice of humble pie. Humility is a hard thing to accomplish though. Being prideful is only human nature and beating human nature is hard to do. We should all try to achieve a place of self worth that we are comfortable with but at the same time trying not to be too prideful. When you h...
