Embarassing story of a kid falling through the hole in a subway in Rome
...ister 1 and Sister 2, and they were twenty and twenty-two respectively. My sisters had their chest pumped out to compensate for the extra weight their tourists backpacks pushed down on them. Well, we were in the subways of Rome, tired and exhausted from the eight hours of traveling we had just accomplished on our own two feet. In front of us was interestingly fragranced Italians chattering about as they rushed into the narrow doors of the train. Before the train doors was a gap between the train and the platform that ranged from six to seven inches wide, so naturally, I did not see this hiatus since the other people that surrounded me masked it. In less than a second, my left foot fell at least two feet into the hole and the train doors began to close. I looked back to see my sisters in more shock that I was, but they knew that I could not pull free from this hole alone which entirely engulfed one of my legs. My foot was dangling in between the train and the platform, the train doors were gradually closing and preparing to depart.
