However with the creation of these two newer rivals Nintendo has lost many of their followers, this due to the fact that they target a lower age group than the other two. The majority of the Game Cube games have an E.S.R.B. (Entertainment Software Rating Board) rating of E (Everyone) to T (Teen 13+). That aside Nintendo introduced the Game Cube system as being the most compact and cheapest out of the three, pushing them towards economy and portability; making for a Predon2 downfall in graphics, and game length due to the smaller size of the game D.V.D.’s. The Game Cube did not bring as much enthusiasm that Nintendo hoped for. Since Sony got into the video game industry they have come out with two consoles (Playstation and Playstation 2) compared to Nintendo’s four. Sony attributes most of its success to putting out hundreds of titles mostly controversial games that teen’s and adult’s find entertaining. These games contain excessive blood and gore, giving the majority E.S.R.B. Ratings of T (Teen 13+) to M (Mature 17+). Sony brought some new features with the Playstaion 2 that had never existed in earlier consoles. It was the first to have a D.V.D. player that allowed you to play movies, online capabilities to play with millions of others world wide, U.S.B. ports to add different specialised attachments, and lastly you could play games form the original Playstation. With all of these incredible upgrades from previous consoles, the launch of Playstaion 2 was huge. Microsoft’s X Box is considered the baby of the console family, even though Microsoft has mainly focused on computers they two have jumped into the world of video game consoles.
