In the 1950's a Chinese scholar repristinated a "Di Dong Yi" model but this one couldn't work well and show the function due to the describe of "Hou Han Shu", the book with the more detailed information written by Fan Ye. Although it was a unsuccessful one, our countrymen accepted it and its incorrect principle and even wrote it into children's textbook just because it was the first one repristinated by Chinese. But Chinese scholars soberly know that without accurate principle the "Di Dong Yi" can not be accepted confessional and will still be describe as a tool used by Chinese to toast their hesternal resplendency. Professor Fen Yue and his team which included specialists from Physics, History, Paleography and other fields overcame various kinds of obstacles and corrected some errors in principle, spent more than three years and eventually repristinated a properly operational "Di Dong Yi" !
