Depression: How Does It Affect Us?

The symptoms differ form adults in many ways. An inability to enjoy favorite activities. Persistent sadness and increased irritability are some of the child’s symptoms. Complaints of physical problems, such as headaches and stomach aches are common among depressed children. Poor performance in school, persistent boredom, and low energy are consistent with depression. Poor concentration, changes in eating or sleeping patterns or both, and a greater tendency to bully others or regressive behavior patterns are also common with children.(www.reu…) There are many different causes of depression and other mental illnesses related to it. Some researchers believe depression can be passed through genetics. Stress is the most common factor. There are many treatments for depression.
