Romeo and Juliet Summary

...oth discovered their family names, but yet they did not regret anything. After they parted, Romeo’s mind would not rest. He needed a last glimpse of the beautiful face of his love. He accidentally overheard Juliet talking about her love for him. Romeo replied by asking for her hand in marriage. She accepted, still a bit skeptic. The next day they were happily married. The same day, Benvolio was murdered by a Capulet. Romeo lost his sanity and killed the one guilty. So he had to go into hiding. Juliet was told, and sent him a secret message to meet her one last time by her balcony. He spent the night in her room. Her mother and father, with lack of knowledge about her marriage, decided that she soon would be Mrs. Count Paris. She refused and went to the Friar for help. He gave her some herb mixture and told her to drink it. The herbs would make Juliet go into a deep sleep, and seem dead to her surroundings. This way she would not have to marry Paris and, when she was brought to the church, she would wake up, and she and Romeo could escape together. The Friar would send Romeo a letter and tell him about this plan. The plan worked. Juliet was brought to church, everyone thinking she was dead. But Romeo never got the Friars letter.
