The eruption caused by this volcanic explosion had lowered the global temperatures by 1.2 degrees and erratic sunsets were produced throughout the world as sunlight reflected by the dust particles that were ejected by the volcano high in the Earth’s atmosphere. The poem later, in the second stanza, gives you an idea of poet’s imagination as he thinks about the people who worked hard to provide ease to others.
