Immigration and Terrorism

...ut his idea as being the lone reason terror is a problem is very far-fetched. For hundreds of years people have been immigrating from distant countries and continents to the United States. Since the early to mid-eighties terrorism has been on such a drastic rise in America. Why weren’t buildings being destroyed during the great migrations in Europe? Immigrants were treated the same and most likely worse back in those days then they are now. There weren’t hate groups popping up all over the world when certain immigrants were turned back in those days. Robert McChesney has some very solid arguments in his article. The only problem that exists is that his arguments are very general. He believes that the key to helping the downfall of terrorism is the fair treatment of immigrants. The only thing that will happen when Immigrations begins to treat immigrants with more respect is that the country will look more peaceful and caring to the world. Terrorism will not be easier to handle. Terrorist won’t simply stop planning and bombing based on a couple hundred of his countrymen. These terrorists are fanatics. They stop at nothing and will never stop until their task is accomplished. The world saw this occur on September 11th. The destruction of the world trade center showed the world that these people do not care for their own, because there were many Muslims that were killed in that murderous act....
