The advertisement uses crisp and clear language with its most important messages highlighted in bolder, larger fonts that demonstrate the advantages of using this company. This advertisement appears to convince the managers/buyers by making a statement of quality of products and also of service (menu-building ideas, merchandising materials, advice on products). This advertisement provides ways for interested businesses to reach the company via 800#, and also on the company website. This effectiveness of this advertisement could be tracked two ways. The first one is that with the 800# listed there is an extension number listed so this could be used to track calls made as a result of seeing this advertisement, and the second way could be that along with the website the customer is asked to click on a specific link. I feel that this is an effective way of reaching the target market and providing the company with a means of tracking the effectiveness of the campaign. The second advertisement that I have chosen to critique is a business to customer direct marketing. This is a direct mail advertisement that I received personally in the mail from Bell Canada and is for their “Sympatico High Speed Ultra” internet service. I was targeted as I am currently a subscriber to the regular high speed internet service, and therefore was targeted to increase to the “Ultra” service which is also more expensive.
