...nd I was very impressed by the work. The costume’s the actors and actresses were wearing were for the most part were casual. Maxine wore a shirt with it unbuttoned, and her bra showing, with kaki pants. Shannon was wearing a white shirt with kaki pants. Maxine’s two helpers were wearing just Capri’s with no shirts. Nonno wore a suit. However, Shannon’s girls were wearing dresses because they are church girls. Hannah was also wearing a dress. The other characters wore swimsuits. Hannah is the only actress in the play that changed costume. She changed from her dress to her nightgown. The costume was mostly casual to fit the play because it was set in Mexico on a hot day. The costume did not take much work, but there was not much work needed for such a casual place. The effects of the play went right along with the play. At the beginning of the play the sounds were that of birds chirping and Mexican music. As the play went on the music stopped. However, music would play when there was a need for it. For example, when Maxine was talking about a hurricane moving inward, the sounds of wind and thunder would be played. The wind was helped by the effects of the wind chimes that would be pulled as if the wind was blowing them. As the hurricane approached the hotel later in the play rain and a lighting strike appeared. This for me was the most exciting part of the play. The lighting was a great deal in this play. The lighting would be bright when needed and dim when needed. In this play, the director’s used all lighting. The lighting came from on top of the stage, on the sides of the walls, and the lighting on the stage. The lights on the stage were regular lights, which were in the hotel, and lanterns, which were on the deck of the hotel. The effects were the biggest part of this play other than th...
