One of his best friends, Nick, lived next door to him. Although Nick was a middle-class person, Gatsby spent most of his time with him. Wherever Gatsby went, Nick was always on his side. Because they were very friendly, Gatsby called Nick “old sport”. When Gatsby wanted to arrange a tea party with Nick to reunite with Daisy, he told Nick when his best time to arrange was. This shows that Gatsby did not want to get his friend into trouble. He bought a dress for a woman who never met before when her dress was torn. Gatsby was friendly to any people.
