TIM HORTONS
... The name “Tim Hortons” came from a former Toronto Maple Leafs player named Miles Gilbert “Tim” Horton. Besides playing for the Leafs his first NHL team, he also played for other teams which are New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and finally for the Buffalo Sabers. When Tim Hortons opened its first store, the store only served only coffee and donuts. Tim Hortons also had its own personal donuts besides the regular ones, which are still famous today and they are apple fritter and dutchie. The biggest breakthrough came for Tim Hortons when it introduced its round bite sized snack called the “timbit” which are available in 39 different flavors. Eventually Tim Hortons introduced new products, which includes: pies, muffins, danishes, cakes, croissants, cookies, soups, sandwiches and chili.
