...h been started off in India. Although Hinduism and Buddhism are based on the same religion, they have many things that are different. Their goals in life are different. The Buddhist goal of life is to reach Nirvana. When they reach Nirvana they will become one with the universe. In order for them to reach Nirvana though, they must master the eightfold path of life. Once this is mastered they will have the ability to understand the 4 noble truths. After all of this has been completed then they will become one with the universe. The Buddhist goal in life is to reach Mosha. Mosha means union with Brahman (god of universe). To reach Mosha they must give up all worldly possessions, commit to prayer and religious rights and have good karma. After this is successful they are able to get out of the cycle of reincarnation and reach Mosha. Another difference of Hinduism and Buddhism is that Hinduism believes in the caste system. Each family has a certain place in the social groups. Whatever social group you are born into you have to stay in that group. What group you are placed in is determined by how much good karma you have had in your past life. However Buddhist believe that a person can raise themselves from their social group. Buddhism and Hinduism can be very different because Buddhism has migrated from India to China, and have taken the Hindus beliefs and the Chinese beliefs and have mixed them together.
