The Battle of Waterloo
...tle started, it was a cat and mouse game between the Duke of Wellington and Emperor Napoleon. They were the best generals then and would be the perfect match for an epic battle. The French was trying to catch up with the British and they finally decided to meet at Waterloo. Emperor Napoleon dispatched a third of his army to meet the Prussians in order to buy him time to crush the British. The battle started quite well for the British since it rained hard in the morning. Since the French had its main strength in its cavalry charges, this would mean having to wait until the ground dried up a bit. Napoleon decided to attack La Haye Sainte first in order to gain the upper hand by controlling one side of the British. However the British gave them a hard time. The British also sent out its Royal Scots Grey and Hussars to skirmish with the French cavalry. However they were outmanned and outmanouvered. They ended up almost getting massacred.
