lord of the flies

...ss. He also must be able to maintain order and democracy. First I did it pretty well; I was democratic chosen to be their leader, but then when I lost my faithful friends, who also were good advisors. My authority started to decrease. Q: How did Jack persuade the others to join his tribe? A: Well I guess because of his savage personality and ability to feel what the people wanted to hear. This ability had allowed him to overtake my position. Everybody wanted to hunt pigs for fun, but it was not the most important thing to do. I often told them to keep the signal fire burning and start building some shelters first. But because of the lack of will to look forward by most of the boys, the boys just did things for fun. Q: When did you realize that your friendship with Jack would turn out to a fight? A: From the beginning my friendship with Jack was very fragile. Roger is the most sadistic person I ever met in my entire life. I think he could be the friend of the devil. He has no mercy and he also has killed Piggy. I often think that he gets pleasure when he is torturing a pig or other boys on the island. I suppose Roger is the opposite of Simon. Well and the rest of the hunters are all followers of Jack, they just do what Jack say. Q: What do you think about wars? A: I think wars are bad and it can only get worse for both of the parties.
