In 2002 the Coors Company purchased the UK based Bass Brewers from Interbrew S.A., forming Coors Brewers Limited. This added to the company’s total sales assets by 40 percent and made Coors one of the top ten brewers in the world. Today Coors products are found in about 30 international markets with sales in excess of 32 million barrels a year. Products The Coors Brewing Company currently brews 13 beer products: Coors Original, Coors Light, Aspen Edge, Killian’s, Blue Moon, Keystone Ice, Keystone Light, Keystone Premium, Coors NA, Extra Gold Lager, Zima XXX Hard Lemon Lime, Zima XXX Hard Black Cherry, and Zima XXX Hard Orange. They have three domestic production facilities and one small brewery located in Mexico. Coors owns and operates the world’s largest single-site brewery located in Golden, Colorado. Coors Brewing Company owns approximately 2,250 acres of land in Golden, Colorado, which include brewing, packaging, can manufacturing and related facilities, as well as gravel deposits, water storage facilities and a buffer area. In addition, they own and operate packaging and brewing facility in Memphis, Tennessee which facility packages an average of 2 million gallons of beer per week. Memphis is Coors' Export Brewery, meaning all exporting of Coors products is done through Memphis. Coors currently export to about 30 countries worldwide. The products that are packaged in Memphis include Coors, Coors Light, Coors Extra Gold, and ZIMA. Also, Coors has a packaging facility located in Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. There are 460 employees at Coors in Shenandoah, Virginia. The plant operates as a blending, finishing, packaging, warehouse, redistribution center, bottle wash facility, and wastewater treatment facility. The plant is currently responsible for producing and shipping Coors Light, George Killian's Irish Red Ale and Keystone Light to the northeastern and mid-Atlantic part of the United States Coors currently operates three breweries in the United Kingdom. The Burton-on-Trent brewery, located in the Midlands, is the largest brewery in the United Kingdom and is the main distribution center. It brews and packages malt and spirit-based beverages. Other breweries are located in Tadcaster and Alton. Carling, the number one mainstream lager is brewed in the United Kingdom. The Europe segment consists of the production and sale of the CBL brands principally in the United Kingdom, the joint venture arrangement relating to the production and distribution of Grolsch in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland, and the joint venture arrangement with Tradeteam for the physical distribution of products throughout Great Britain.
