...o dance to. Even so, my personal favorite is still songs from the 80’s. Music can also be a really good way to make new friends. If you’re in a band, you meet so many people that you most likely wouldn’t know if you weren’t in a band. If you sing in the choir you meet lots of people. It’s not only when you make or sing music that you can make new friends. If you wear a T-shirt with your favorite band logo on it, maybe someone with the same taste in music will come and talk to you. I think music is a good outlet because it always has been for me, whenever I would get in trouble with my parents and be forced to go to my room I would go listen to music. After hearing the first note of his voice, I am always ready to get out and have a good time. When I come home from school ready to rip all of my hair out, I try to keep myself under control until I can reach my CD player. Any time I’m stressed out or tense, all I need to relax is a good Pink Floyd song. I grew up listening to this music, so it puts me at ease. Pink Floyd’s music and lyrics are so intense, I don’t even have to think about anything. I just lay back and let the sounds float in my head.
