On any given day, a shocking high number of students choose to drop out of school. They often leave quietly, with no notice to the school or their teacher, as early as middle grades—sometimes even earlier—and never return. Unfortunately, when students abandon school, they foreclose a lifetime of opportunities and place future generations at risk of poverty and underemployment. When two people get married and have children they have to enter into the work force in order to provide the necessities a child requires. Education plays a major role in how employers view a person entering the job market. Graduation from high school and more so, college sends a strong message to an employer about an applicant. In some cases it means that this person was disciplined enough to achieve an education.
