...represented courage and this was what they needed to survive during the war. The second object that I did the research on is the tripod chili grinder. This item was also made of ceramic, founded in the valley of Mexico during the Aztec culture, A.D. 1350-1521. Known agriculture played a very important role in their life, it was understandable to find a chili grinder, and this made me understand on how those people in Aztec culture made chili and considered chili as their main source of food. The third item I found was a jar from Inca, around the same period as the Aztec. The jar showed the Inca influence on Chimu’s workmanship. The vessel represents a large cup made from a gourd. A monkey “adorno” provides a handle. The forth object was the drum, founded in Aztec culture, Mexico, A.D. 1350-1521. This drum is a lot heavier than the regular drums because this was made of ceramics. It has handles on both sides; therefore, it could be carried easily even though it was heavy. In my opinion, I think it was interesting to know that drum had actually existed in such a long time. And according to what I learned in class, I think the reason why drum was existed because they thought the majestic sound of drum gave them courage and braveness to fight for war. The last item I found in Native America gallery was a stone called baby faced figure. This stone was made of ceramic, Olmec culture, founded in Mexico around 800-300 B.C. this item represented the king of the tribe because people from Olmec worshiped god by sacrificing jaguars. Since a jaguar figure was shown in the clothing of the human figure, this figure truly represented the king of the tribe. According to my second gallery, I had chosen the animal gallery to talk about. It was interesting the find out the behaviors and characteristics of each animal, the environment they lived in, and their consumers and predators. I chose animals to describe because they had played a very important role in human life, abundance source of food by hunting. The first animal that I chose is grizzly bear, founded in 1758 near Karluk Lake, Kodiak island, Alaska, United States. Grizzly bears are active at night time and during twilight hours. They have poor sight but excellent hearing and smell. They are ill-tempered; therefore, they may attack without provocation. Grubs and salmons are their main source of food. The second animal is Dall’s sheep. Dall’s sheep was founded in 1884, also founed in Alaska. One interesting facts that I founded from Dall’s sheep was that males and females dall’s sheep don’t associate except in the mating season, which is in late November to early December. Grass is all they need to survive. The third animal is gray wolf. Gray wolf was founded in 1758, British Columbia, Canada. It is a social animal belonging to the dog family. It lives in packs of five to ten members that comprise a dominant set of parents and their offspring. Wolves have distinctive howls that they use to assemble the pack or demarcate their territory. The forth animal is steller sea lion. S...
