... The chimps seemed to be star attractions that day being adored by many onlookers. They weren’t as active as I have seen in the past and spent a majority of the time relaxing and partaking in some well received grooming from one another. It was fun watching all the spectators gazing at the grooming chimps and awing in synchronized fashion. I have to admit those guys are pretty cute. We journeyed onward and picked up some over priced food on the way to check out the pongo sp., commonly known as the orangutan. They like the chimpanzees spent most their afternoon sitting contently delivering and receiving some grooming action. The male is very distinctive physically and possesses large cheeks and long orange dread locks, while the females were smaller and lacked the massive cheek pads.
