...when Robert gets a phone call early in the morning from a person who sounded to have urgent matters. Tired, Robert hangs up and tells the person to call later. A few minutes later Robert receives a fax of a picture of a man, who has been brutally beaten, and has the word Illuminati burned across his chest. Robert does not know what to think. The phone rang again. The voice on the other end asked if he had Robert’s attention. It turns out that the man on the phone was head of a science research centre called CERN. Mr. Kohler informs Robert that he needs his help in solving who killed the man in the photo. After a few minutes of conversation Robert heads to Switzerland. There, to Robert’s dismay he is shown the body of the murdered Leonardo Vetra. One thing still questioned Robert though. The Illuminati were an ancient brotherhood of scientist who, were killed by the Church for their scientific research. But it is believed that they no longer existed. Nevertheless, the burn on Vetra’s chest had been done by a genuine Illuminati brand. Mr. Kohler and Vittoria Vetra, Leonardo Vetra’s adopted daughter and also a scientist at CERN, think that a project that Vetra had been working on may have been the cause of his death.
