...em, like Mr. Pilkington and other humans who then went to “Animal Farm” to play poker with the pigs. Near the end of the novel pigs start looking and acting very similar to humans, that they become indistinguishable. Commandment number two was distorted because they considered rats enemies and Napoleon considered Snowball and enemy too. They also break commandment three, because the pigs started using Mr. Jones clothes, they don’t change that commandment but they break it. At the same time the break commandment four by starting to sleep in beds inside the house. The other animals who lived in “Animal Farm” remembered that there was a commandment that forbid them from sleeping in beds, so they went to the barn and looked at the seven commandments and noticed that number four had been changed to “ No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets”. They also noticed that other commandments had been changed too. Commandment five was changed to “ No animal shall drink alcohol to excess”. Pigs had changed that commandment because they had began to drink alcohol. And even got drunk one night, so that was why they has changed that commandment. The sixth commandment was also changed. Now it said “No animal shall kill any other animal without a cause”. Napoleon breaks that commandment (before it was changed) when he sends the dogs to kill Snowball. Another way they break that commandment before being changed was when they sell Boxer to the butcher because he was too old, and didn’t work liked he used to and gets killed. It is again broken when they kill sheep and chickens. The last commandment was changed as well, and became “ All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others”. Pigs get more rights and consideration to themselves and think that other animals are inferior to them. Like for example at the beginning of the story the pigs had special privileges and drunk the milk and ate the apples no letting the other animals drink or eat them. The pigs invited the neighboring human farmers (who where the superior class, just like pigs) to their farm, while the lower animals worked more than the pigs did and received less food. As you can see the pigs changed their Animal Farm’s Constitution to whatever was convenient to them. They took advantage of the other animals, because they knew that the other animals could not think for themselves and would accept whatever they decided. The author of this book, George Orwell had a purpose for writing this novel. The intention he had was to write this book was to fuse political purposes. He wrote about how negative effects of a political system can change the way people think. He wanted the readers to see how a political system can manipulate and have harsh ways to control, not mattering how perfect the system of government is. The entire novel is about the pigs having all the power, and corrupting their own political system. How everything they did was to their own convenience. He talks about the Russian Revolution of 1917 and communism, using animals as symbols, that turn against their human owners. George Orwell wanted his readers to change their way of thinking and make them understand that communism is bad. The ironic thing is that he uses animals to represent certain people in history, to show what has happened before. Like the pigs deciding everything and having all the power, while other animals worked a lot and received little. He also shows that even though the animals had their seven commandments it didn’t mean t...
