... Pasternak was unable to publish his poetry and writing throughout the 1930’s. It was until after the 1940’s where Boris Pasternak was able to publish his writing again and that was because it was during the World War II. Due to health issues Boris Pasternak became dedicated to sharing everything he went through when Russian Revolution took place. He achieved writing his novel but once again was unable to publish his work in the Soviet Union. It was until 1957 that his novel got published in Italy and he even earned a Nobel Prize. Because of Pasternak achievement his work/poetry wasn’t able to be shown or shared until he passed away. Boris Pasternak’s life is general is interesting, he went through a lot of historic events, he was a smart skillful person. O Had I Known..’ is also interesting because the way Pasternak expresses himself is intriguing and direct to what he believes. Boris Pasternak’s work seems to be implying that life is not always what one expected, one should take it as it comes, unsurprisingly. To begin with the poem is quite not understandable, its very difficult to understand poems such as this one. What is understandable are the obvious strong words Pasternak includes in the poem. Pasternak seems to be direct to how he believes things occur to one’s life. Such s the beginning of the poem Pasternak describes one’s blood destroying their life and the fact that he mentions death at the end using the word “kill” instead. On line number six he specifically points out the word “no” implying to a certain statement that was decided to be stated loudly in the poem.. He later began implying certain examples to what he is trying to deliver, to better understand the reader. Out of nowhere he began to mention bad things mentioning the tragedy and the finishing, the ending of the tragedy. Boris Pasternak has a special way of writing, he is dedicated to his work, he is determined to deliver any message to his readers/audience.
