Historical fiction writers write their work within the margins of Fiction and Non-Fiction, which allows them to write fictitious and adventurous narrative as well as providing a background of educational and factual information to entertain the reader; i.e.- it entertains by harnessing the thrill of the reader or viewer being able top say “Hey, I’ve been there”, or “ I learnt about that event, I know where they got that from”. During the study of History, one cannot express the personalities and idiosyncrasies of characters in that era or location during and around the time of a certain events, as efficiently as it can be using dialogue and communication, as well as expressing thoughts and feelings, opinions and bias.
