What parts of life styles do play in stress? Life style is one of the main factors that affect you and so causes stress. There are about half of a million people in the UK who experience work 每 related stress at the level they believe is making them ill. Up to five million classify themselves as ※very§ or ※extremely§ stressed, almost 13 million working days were lost to stress, depression and anxiety in 2004/5. All of this helps to explain why 1.4 million people in the UK have had enough of their workaholic ways and have chosen to sacrifice their well-paid, high-octane and also high stress lifestyles for a simpler, quieter life. According to the global economy, life style will get even harder, faster, especially for the office worker, some people work even on the Christmas day. People are entangled in a lifestyle of thinking need a bigger house, the newest car, the nicest clothes. The result is they work harder, they gain more money, and they are from sick of stress. Now, more and more people know that life style wasn*t what they wanted. They take steps towards living a more relaxed lifestyle. People begin downshifting the transition from city to country. Many simply choose to spend more time at home, with the family. Hormonal (AGE) Factors: Puberty The vast hormonal changes of puberty are severe stressors. A person*s body actually changes shape, sexual organs begin to function. Puberty, as we all know, is very stressful. Every one had that experience. Pre 每 Menstrual Once a woman passes puberty, her body is designed to function best on female hormones. For females past puberty, a lack of female hormones is a major stress on the body. Once a month, just prior to menstruation a woman*s hormones levels drop sharply. In many women, the stress of sharply falling hormones is enough to create overstress. This is popularly known as Pre Menstrual Syndrome (PMS). During that period, women*s mood tends to be stressful; she may very easily get angry, or furious. Even though that*s not she wanted. So, once a woman makes you unhappy, forgive her. She may be in that condition. Post 每 Partum Following a pregnancy, hormone levels again change dramatically. After a normal child birth, or a miscarriage, some women may be thrown into overstress by the loss of the hormones of pregnancy. In that time, she really needs taking care of; she is at a very weak mental state at this period. If something pushes her, she may take extreme action to respond to that, even to the exist of killing herself. Menopause There is another hard time in a women*s life when hormone levels decline. This is the menopause. This decline in hormones during menopause is slow and steady, but that decline of hormones causes enough stress on the body to produce overstress on many women. Environmental Factors Environmental causes of depression are concerned with factors that are outside of us. Very hot or very cold climates can be stressful, very high altitude may be a stress. Toxins or poisons are a stress; air pollution causes of health problem worldwide, and rural outdoor environments contain toxicants and irritants that reduce the quality of life and cause disease. Each of these factors threatening to cause changes in your body*s internal environmental stress. Taking Responsibility for another person*s Actions. When taking responsibility for another person*s actions, changes occur in your life over which you have little or no control. This is a major stressor. Good sides of stress The words of ※positive§ and ※stress§ may not often go together, but sometime it does. We can benefit from that ※fight§ or ※flight§ response and achieving the achievable. Stress is a basic force of life which can allow us to higher levels of performance, when managed properly; stress is a powerful ally for growth and accomplishment. For me, personally I had that experiment how tend the stress work on me, made a positive result for me. 3 years ago, I was lived in China, I had my best friends, my house, my study, and most important is my girl friend in China, just about me everything in there. I lived like normal, since my dad he started work in UK, our family moved with my dad into this country, different people, different food, and different language# everything just different. I felt stressful, I was anxiety, depression, feeling of inferiority, and even I go to college. I was don*t like talk to other classmates as well, I was shuttled myself. My parents they were worried about me. I was thinking my girl friend all the time, and I did call her several times a day, but it didn*t make any help, we all suffer from stress. We seem had problem, I had never think so bad like that, until I seen that author Keith Harrell notes, ※when you look in the mirror, you see the person who can do the most to improve your life, change your attitude, elevate your standards, and overcome your limitations§. I started changing my bad mood, started thinking in a positive way, I convert that stress into energy, I found out what my stressors are, I tried to adapt the new situation, making new friends, enjoying college, and now I am not just think how I missing her. I am thinking me and her future, for tomorrow*s better life. I study hard, now I only call me girl friend once a week, she doesn*t blame me at all. She understands me, our relationship getting stronger, she knows the person who she loves is love her as well, and working on it for their future.
