The third edition of the Africville Relocation Project contains new material which enriches the original analysis, updates the account and highlights the continuing importance of Africville to black consciousness in Nova Scotia. This edition includes a chapter “ Deconstruction of Africville” which includes in depth details about the government’s methods of getting the people of Africville to relocate such as “ Pa Carvery’s” case which included waving a bag of money filled with small bills in front of him at city hall.
