... like animals. Animals stimulate one another through warning calls. Sounds are all animals could produce to express their anger, fear of pleasure. However, sounds are not articulate enough to express their feelings. As for humans, based on our ability, we can make vocal sounds that include pitch and language. We can also communicate through written language which can be spoken or written but it is considered as secondary and derivative. Being homoerectus, man has gone through much changes and it has helped us to come into existence for thinking. The limit of one’s thinking is the limit of one’s ability to use language. Some may say that no human achievement is obtained with language but it debatable. An example is the deaf and mute who participate in the Maths Olympiad competition. They can achieve full marks even though they can’t communicate using language. As words and structures form language, it does seem to facilitate in thinking process. In a society, language is the primary function in communication. It helps to create or maintain a particular social atmosphere to help man to live amicable and harmoniously. Language has also helped us to express our prolonged thought s and discussions.
