RESPONSE TO ARTICLE!!!

Afghanistan soldiers are concerned that Canadians do not understand or appreciate the work they are doing. There were no assurances added to the motion assuring that troops will receive the equipment and support they need in the field by Mr. Harper. What concerned me about this article was the fact that many people supported the troops but could not support the motion just because the Prime Minister had said that the troops would be in Afghanistan for another year regardless of the outcome of the vote. That is so unfair. On such a serious issue, with the lives of our men and women at stake, this disrespect of the elected representatives of the people flies in the face of Mr. Harper’s lofty election rhetoric about accountability.
