Coming to America

Living the nest being a teenage girl was not as hard I thought it would be, my parents and particularly my father understood immediately my intentions since he also went to study abroad in his younger age. Furthermore he had always trusted me, trusted me to do the right thing and not to disappoint him so from the start he was not worried at all. As for me, I have and always will be independent; Having experienced the life in boarding school at an early age ( I was eight years old), I knew what being without your parents was like. So in other words I was not really sad to leave my parents because even though I would be missing them sometimes, I knew that life without them would not be that difficult to handle. Then came the friends part. Having travelled all my life because of my father's job, I have always had to change schools, make new friends, leave the same friends that I had just met and then make new friends so once again it was not a hard thing to do.
