...ally looks like he is coming out of the picture at you. It is also important to recognize the mathematics behind the scene. These are represented in the dome that crowns the cathedral in Florence. It was really interesting to see the perspective drawing that he created to show people what the church would look like after it was completed. Surprisingly, the drawing that he created is almost exactly as it is today. Another interesting piece that he created through perspective is a barrel vaulted ceiling in a picture of Christ. Piero della Francesca created a wonderful piece of art called, “ST. Anthony’s Polyptich” using mathematical applications and his new theory on perspective. It was really interesting to watch the video clip of the colonnaded portico. It appears that there is a giant sculpture in the distance but when you put an objective of equal height at a closer distance you can see the illusion.
