... people have different solutions,both of them may insist on their own solution,which may led to a argument on the puzzle.Since most math puzzles have only one correct answer,at least one of them would be wrong.Surely the one holding the right answer would point out the mistakes that are involved in the answer of the other.Realizing where the faults are,the one who is wrong would analyze the cause of mistakes carefully and understand the whole process of solving the problem more proudly.While confronting with similar problems next time,the once-wrong person would easily apply the strategy of the former problem and figure out it quickly. In addition,debative views may provide us with alternative perspectives to problems,which is key in a multicultual world. Once the famous playwright George Bernard Shaw said: "If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.ĦħThat is to say,if the controdictory views are both available to a problem,only distinguishes from the other by different ways of thinking,then the exchange of the thoughts would benefit both because each of them would get another creative method to a problem and may gain another means of reasoning as well.Accordingly,the whole society would progress a lot from the florish of thoughts.
