...s later. Poker started as a money game played without cards. The Chinese developed a card deck, which changed over the years to the card deck we are using today. Roulette has been invented in the late 1800. The game was designed by a French man, and soon the king of Monaco started to play it, to pay of the debt of his country. Roulette became very big and came over to America. The Americans added a double zero in the game which made more possibilities in the game. Now there where two different types of roulette in the world, the American roulette and the European roulette. There have been lots of different games which involved dices, because dices already existed for hundreds. There are still changes going on in the games with dices. American tried to abandon gambling in 1850. They made it illegal until the year 1910. After 1910 gambling came back in America and they started building the famous casinos in Las Vegas. Gambling in Europe did not stop developing after there introduction in to the games. The main evolvement where Europe went trough is going from street games to organized clubs where people are aloud to gamble. Gambling statistics There are no known are findable statistics of gambling in Europe or of the United States. I putted in some facts that I have found on the internet about gambling in Las Vegas. Because Las Vegas is the biggest gamblers paradise I can assume that these figures are usable for the interpretation of gambling in Europe and the United States. • The average of money spend by people on gambling $ 580,90 in four hours • 68 % of the gamblers are playing slot machines • Most of the gamblers are 65+ • Over 60% of the American people gambles at least once a year • 80% of the people think that casinos are legitimate • Gambling generates more profit than movies, spectator sports, theme parks, cruise ships and recorded music combined. • The gambling industry in America is bigger than 40 billion dollars Explain gambling clearly Gambling is sport with taking risk and gain money or other things, where people are playing for. Gambling is big in all the countries around the world. There still is a big illegal business going on in the United States and in Holland because of the profits people and businesses can make. Gambling already exist as long as the humans life. They started gambling for food and things like that. The society now a day has to deal with all different kinds of problems which grow after legalization of gambling. Everybody has ever gambled in there life. People gamble to gain more wealth and to have a good time. People are aware of risk of gambling and accept the challenge. The sociological analysis of gambling The structural-functional paradigm of gambling Gambling has got a great influence on the structural society. Like I already told; the history of gambling is long. People are used to the fact of gambling and they know what it does. Gambling can be very dangerous. The society accepted gambling, because gambling is big all around the world. Some people are waisting there lifes with gambling while others are abusing that fact too make more profit. The gambling frame is very big and it infuened a lot of things people are doing nowadays. People are making bets for fun, which is a part of gambling as well. Some people are changing there social behaviour for gambling, most of them are ending up as gambling addicts. The social-conflict paradigm of gambling There are some deferent’s between cultures and dealing with gambling. Most of the cultures accept gambling and they legalised it. Gambling is totally accepted in the Netherlands, just like in America. People do not really know ho to respond to gambling, in Africa and some other third world countries. People are thinking different about gambling, which can cause some problems between cultures. The main reason people think different is because of the inequality that is going on that counties between the low, middle and high class. In most of the countries people can only gamble when they are in the high class. Everyone goes to a casino once in a while no matter what class or back ground. This is the same as it is in America. The main difference between the people in the Dutch casinos and classes is the amount of money they can/ willing to spend. The symbolic-interaction paradigm of gambling Gambling does not have a big influence on the symbolic-interaction of the society.
