The most memorable day of my life

...erved to me. Coming with two sausages and a bone, it was every dog’s dream breakfast. After I had wolfed down my breakfast (it went down my gullet before you could say ‘dog’), I trotted happily down the road, following Jesse and Samuel. One could swear that I was skipping! Suddenly, a whiff, a scent wafted into my nostrils, and I broke into a gallop! The wind rushed against my furry face as I ran, ran with all my might! I was free! I was like a raging torrent of fur and claws, bursting my way through a field of dandelions and daffodils. Then, looming before me was one of the most amazing and jaw-dropping spots that I had ever seen in my doggy life. Behold, out of the blue burst forth a small yet strong and rapid volley of pure and brilliant water, gushing down the craggy precipice and lost between the little elm and oak trees that surrounded the little stream known as ‘Little Whittiton’. Little flecks of water bounced against my nose and I yelped helplessly, cringing at that stinging pain. I licked at the remaining drops on my face before rolling happily in the many brown leaves on the ground. It was fall, the most beautiful and wonderful season of all; it was not as chilly as winter; nor as sweltering as summer; or as overpowering as spring. All three of us basked in the sunlight before Jesse and Samuel stripped stark naked and jumped into the river. They hollered and laughed loudly, enjoying the warm sun on their faces and the cool water on their backs. At first, I seemed cautious and fearful of touching the water let alone jumping into the river for a swim. At last, curiosity overcame my fear and I jumped into the river. Time seemed to slow for me as I soared ...
