Days passed and years too, and as time went by Saddam forgot most things about his parents except the pain of loosing them and his father’s last words: “Saddam, my son, when you grow up, you make sure, you be someone.” These words were carved into Saddam’s memory, and he would do whatever it would take to fulfil them to honour his father’s death.
Saddam thought a lot about what the best way of becoming someone was, and he decided it would be the political way. So when Saddam became a teenager, he joined a political “terror group” – a very popular thing to do in those days in those regions, when one wanted to get influence. Saddam soon became the leader of the group due to his great ideas and good charisma, but being the leader of this wasn’t enough for Saddam. ... So Saddam and his group tried to take over the country.
