...till weren’t sure what order we would put our shots in. To be on the safe side, we took a lot of shots, most of which we ended up not using, so we had plenty of footage to use. For a few of the shots, we did about 3 takes so we could choose from a wide range when editing the film. When filming in the classroom for one of the shots, we turned the video camera onto night mode. This gave the affect that someone was watching the people in the room with night-vision goggles, which wasn’t intentional, but looked spooky which was what we had wanted. At around 6.30 we started filming outside. We used the negative mode on the video camera when filming the trees, which gave a really creepy effect. We hadn’t planned to use the negative mode, but it turned out to look really good. We also used negative mode when I was filmed running through the trees. Again, this looked better than filming it in normal mode. In the end we got about 5 minutes of footage for a 30 second trailer, so we definitely had enough. Editing To edit our video footage, we used the school’s Sony editing software. As we had a lot to work with, we spent around 5 hours in total editing it. The editing software we used was really tricky to use, and everyone in my group found it difficult at first and we were really slow, but soon we got the hang of it and became much quicker. As we didn’t know what order we were going to use our shots in whilst filming, it took quite a while finding the different shots we needed, as they were all jumbled up and in no particular order. This slowed us down a lot. We did have a fairly good idea of which shots we wanted to use, and we knew which ones would be most effect...
