First Catch

An important cuisine contains fish and without any, there would be heavy damage done to all aspects of humans. First Catch It was 1995 and I was mere 8 years of age. It was a very beautiful summer day and I was out with my grandpa fishing on the beach by which he lives next to. It was the first time in my life I went fishing. The sun was striking the surface at around a fort-five degree angle, which made the sand glisten like a newly polished car. My grandpa was carrying his small little box filled with fishing equipment and his rod while I was carrying my own small little rod. My grandpa and I were very ecstatic like me because it was the first time I went fishing. He was smiling throughout the whole experience. He’s an old man with dark-blonde hair, what he has left, and is very lively and strong. My grandpa and I exited the apartment building in which he lived in and headed towards the beach, which was right next to where he lives. I was very thrilled because I had never gone fishing before. I followed my grandpa and we headed toward the beach shores. At the beach there was a small artificial inlet built specifically for fishers. There were two other people there and they were around the age of my grandpa. The water was very clear which allowed me to see through it about fifteen feet. I could see the fish swimming throughout the water, which would soon be conquered by me! At that small inlet, we set everything up. We brought with us two fishing rods, one for me and one for my grandpa. I had just received my rod a few days back for this special event. It was a beautiful black rod with sparkles of dark green painted everywhere. The fishing rod was over three feet tall and was nearly as big as I was at the age of eight. One thing we had to do during the setup is put the bait on the rod. It was a small piece of red meat, which was very slimy and disgusting. I was too grossed out to put the bait on the rod so my grandpa did it for me. After he finished putting the bait onto both his rod, and mine I grabbed my rod from him because I was very anxious to try it out. When I threw...
