Eichah

Eichah was a sad story. The approach to Eichah was especially sad. As we see the writer, who is likely to be Jeremiah is at the approach of the suffering putting down himself and his people. Its like he is sad for committing the biggest sin in the world. In this approach the author infuses sadness by stating phrases like "The Lord was like an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel. " The author sets the mood of sorrow. When I read the approach of this suffering it just gets me in a sad mood. But truly at the same time it shows me that we must have messed up majorly to deserve this crucial treatment. Also as I read the rest I truly realize the beautiful and emotional poems written by the author and realize the once great city that was there before.
