So, psychology plays very essential role in nursing profession . According to the study there are different specialties in psychology . The clinical psychology is that psychology which specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of mental and behavioral disorders . While the process of diagnosis the nurses are very helpful, though there is no particular medication . As talking about the biological response to stress a patient observes one of the case study shows that a nurse coming towards them with a sphygmomanometer to check their blood pressure . The patient's eye perceives this stressor; the information is related via the optic nerve to visual cortex through the thalamus, which in turn passes the information to the hypothalamus . The hypothalamus triggers the pituitary gland which produces adrenaline . This effect on the peripheral nervous system and will experience as a stress .
