SOP for electrical engineering
My inclination towards the field of Electrical Engineering dates back to the time when I was in school. It was the time when technology started making its impact on the lives of people in India, with the evolution of pagers which later led to a more sophisticated mobile phones, cellular sect as ubiquitous means of communications replacing telephones, the emergence of latest electronic gadgets kindled in me a quest to analyze the underlying working principles and the ineluctability of emerging technologies in any aspect of life, intensely fascinated me and obviated my need to search for an undergraduate major. My schooling infused in me a keen sense of scientific temperament, Quantitative abilities and instilled in me a special interest towards mathematics and physical sciences which are also my pre-university majors. It was at this time that I developed a fascination for the multidisciplinary facet of electronics and communications, its broad scope and its wide range of applications made me opt for it as my major in the undergraduate course. The last 3 years have literally transformed my dream into a passion – a strong compelling force to acquire more knowledge in my preferred field of study. During the course of my study I was exposed to subjects like, Digital Electronics, Integrated circuits, Signal Processing, Control systems, Microprocessors, Analog and Digital Communications, Data Communications, Antenna theory, and VLSI. My effort to be the very best in my field of interest has not prevented me from broadening my perspectives in other fields as well. Towards this end, I am well versed with programming in C language, C++, 8085, 8086 microprocessor assembly language, operating system like MSDOS, WINDOWS and software tools like MATLAB, PSPICE, Verilog HDL. Of the gamut of fields that I was exposed to, Mobile and wireless, Satellite communication, Opto electronics in Modern Communications and Data Communications are my areas of interest. I want to delve deeper into the basic intricacies of these subjects and acquire an insight into the various fields in communications spectrum.
