China sees that interfering with sovereign nation’s internal conflict will only bring the situation worse and as Sudan is a sovereign nation; all member nations should respect and value the country’s laws and regulations. But China, on the other hand, states that UN involvement is necessary and has not vetoed the resolution that authorizes peacekeepers for Darfur and allows UN peacekeeping deployment. (4) Also, China has claimed that they are investing huge on oil in Africa only out of friendship and diplomacy. They claim that they only import 8. 7% of Africa’s total oil export and it is Europe which imports 33% of Africa’s total oil.
