Benefits check-up campaign

Benefit Check-Up Campaign proposal Having observed excellent results of Benefits Check-Up campaign held by MidMercia, I offer to use similar approach, but with some additions to tools and media used to communicate. The goal of the campaign is not only to encourage those, who can, but hesitate to claim, but to talk to the ones, who have never heard about the possibility to get financial assistance. To achieve that, I propose to have two phases for the communication. Phase 1. Create awareness and change perception. Choose the areas where we expect the most part of the target audience is located and deliver the message through outdoor channels. I suggest to place posters with information on Benefit Check-Up campaign on the public transportation nodes (like bus stops), public hospitals, schools and other public organizations, as well as churches. I believe it would be a good idea to agree with the priest to aware people about the campaign during the Sunday sermon. These posters should briefly explain the campaign, what financial help can be received, who is eligible, why community wants to give the help and direct people on where to get the additional information (phone hot lines with trained people). The poster should very clearly instruct people to try to get included into the campaign, in case they would not receive the mailing in a scheduled period (mailing should be done in a strict schedule) Phase 2.
