Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet will do almost anything to be together, which causes their downfall. In the prologue, the author points out that Romeo and Juliet have the faith against them. It also says that their love is “death marked,”(Shakespeare Prologue. 9) and they have no control over what happens. Fate is the main cause of all the conflicts in “Romeo and Juliet”. From the very beginning, it foreshadows that Romeo and Juliet's love will lead to their death. “A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life" (Shakespeare Prologue, line 6). In the beginning of the story Romeo is in love with Rosaline, but she does not love him back. Later on Peter runs into Romeo and Benvolio on the street. It is this encounter that leads Romeo to read the guest list for the Capulet's party.
