How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.
. Yet, under the present education system, it seems hard to develop individualities of every student who is receiving exactly the same education designed to be standard . Unfortunately, we have not yet known how to raise children with responsibility and individuality to bring about a better life after they grow up . Someone would argue that in our present education system a plenty of effort has been made to make children with a sense of responsibility . However, the effect is not as good as assumed before . At least in China, there is a famous saying that knowledge is able to change a child’s destiny which is mentioned again and again in the classroom by every teacher wanting the students to study hard . As a result, nearly every student in China takes the knowledge they learned from school as a tool for making a better life for his or her own instead of the whole society . Maybe they can be socialized to become successful person, but they just use the skills to make a better living rather than a better society . In conclusion, I concede the point that we have not yet know how to raise children who can bring about a better society in so far as we don’t know how to make children more responsible for their society . Nevertheless, I didn’t agree that the socialization solely determines the destiny of the society, because there are far more factors playing crucial roles in the education process .
