Writing is a Stress Reliever
Writing is a Stress Reliever Some people stifle every emotion they feel in their head, and never let them out; others need to find someone to tell as soon as something happens, because they can not just keep it bottled up inside. Some people express their feelings by singing, or through some other hobby; others just lock themselves in a room to sit and think of their deepest darkest fears. These are all ways that people deal with their day to day problems and emotions. Many find the best way to express feelings is by writing them down, because it not only allows one to process the emotions; but helps the writer come to terms with what he is feeling. An individual experiencing personal difficulties will turn to a friend for advice, only to be disappointed by a friend’s callousness or lack of understanding. Even worse, that friend will say “I know, I have been there; it will all work out. ” When people are hurting they often do not want to hear that someone else has been there, or that it is okay… that they can move on. Some times they just feel alone and want to feel alone. It is not always comforting to hear that someone else has been there. Because of this, it is sometimes much easier to write emotions down in a song, poem, story, or even just as a stream of consciousness.
