It was when the monster came that these characters, having no other people to go with, formed a group with a more definite and urgent purpose—to stay alive. Jason, amidst the panic around him, tried to calm down the others and convinced them that their best option is to get out of the city by crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. There was an opposition from the others, saying that there can be other ways like Delancey or Williamsburg. But eventually, everyone became amenable with their goal and Jason’s plan. Everyone was expected to stay calm and to stay together. Then they were already performing . They were about to cross the bridge, with Jason way ahead of the pack, when the monster struck through the Brooklyn Bridge, crushing Jason into pieces. Still shocked by the lost of their dear friend, those who were left: Hud, Rob, Marlena and Lily had to start from scratch and make another plan. They considered other options and thought of the other ways out of Manhattan. But Rob, after hearing his beloved Beth calling him for help, decided to go back to Midtown Manhattan and save her.
