My Most Painful Moment
My Most Painful Moment I was a carefree eight-year-old on May 19, 1999. My grandmother had been in the hospital for three days, which was not a big concern as she had been in and out of hospitals throughout my life due to her Multiple Sclerosis. Little did I know at the time that hospital stay would be different. Although it was many years ago I still remember that day as if it were yesterday. The most painful moment in my life is really a day with an upsetting phone call, an agonizing ride to the hospital, and learning my grandmother just passed away. My mother was in the kitchen doing the dinner dishes as my brothers and I watched a movie in the living room when the telephone began to ring. It was my uncle and I could tell as he asked for my mother something was wrong. He sounded like he had been crying. When my mother got on the phone she began to cry and went into her bedroom so we could not hear what she was saying. She was still crying once she reemerged from her bedroom and told us to get our shoes on we had to go to the hospital.
